To betray a love, to betray a friend, to betray an idea, to betray a party, to betray even the homeland means to detach oneself from a part that belonged to us and to create a new, unknown, unknown space.
In fact, we are born in the confidence that someone nourishes us and loves us, but we can grow and become ourselves only if we come out of this trust, if we do not remain prisoners of it, if to those who first loved us and to all those who after them came, one day we can say: “I am not as you want me”.
In every love, from that of parents, husbands, wives, friends, the land of birth there is a form of possession that stops our growth and forces our identity to constitute itself only within that fence that is the fidelity that we must not betray. But in every fidelity that does not know the betrayal and does not even hypothesize the possibility there is too much childhood, too much naivety, too much fear to live by our own strength alone.
