FESTIVAL PROSPETTIVA DANZA TEATRO XXVIIth edition: DANCE DANCE DANCE! – Padua from 28 February to 11 May
The Prospettiva Danza Teatro Festival returns to Padua from 28 February to 11 May. The project of the Municipality of Padua – Department of Culture promoted and realised in collaboration with the Circuito Multidisciplinare Regionale Arteven / Regione del Veneto, the artistic direction of Laura Pulin and Eleonora de Logu, and the support of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo and Synlab, reaches this year its XXVII edition.
‘For twenty-seven years, Prospettiva Danza Teatro has been taking audiences on a journey through the art of dance, exploring new forms of expression and creating connections between artists and spectators,’ says Culture Councillor Andrea Colasio, ’(…) This year’s title, Dance Dance Dance!, is an invitation to be carried away by the energy and vitality of dance, an art that speaks a universal language and which, in this edition, explores increasingly innovative and inclusive territories.
‘Dance Dance! celebrates dance: a call to experience the power and beauty of an art that speaks a universal language. A project in touch with the artistic avant-garde, which discovers innovative perspectives and ways of narrating through the body and dance – continue artistic directors Laura Pulin and Eleonora de Logu – (…) With a broad programme full of fascinating and sophisticated proposals, bringing together shows, performances, workshops and encounters, this edition aims to take a step forward in experimentation and inclusiveness, in an open and connected world, themes that have been at the heart of our vision since the first edition.’
On the programme of Prospettiva Danza Teatro 2025 twelve days with important national and international companies that will perform in the spaces of the Agora of the Centro Culturale Altinate-San Gaetano, the Teatro Comunale G. Verdi, Palazzo della Ragione, the Museo Eremitani, the Piccolo Teatro Don Bosco and the Fondazione Alberto Peruzzo – Nuova Sant’Agnese.
The International Prize Prospettiva Danza Teatro – promoted by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Padua with the contribution of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, in collaboration with the Circuito Multidisciplinare Regionale Arteven and the artistic direction of its creator Laura Pulin – this year reaches its 16th edition and will take place on Sunday 11 May at 7.30 p.m. in the Sala del Ridotto of the Teatro Comunale G. Verdi. The international jury will be composed of artistic directors, choreographers and sector operators including Philippe Kratz, Maria Luisa Buzzi, Michele Di Stefano, Emanuele Masi, Antonella Bertoni, Didier Deschamps and Carlo Mangolini. The Prize wishes to support research, promote creativity and talent and represent a significant starting point for an enhancement of the quality of the choreographic work of young artists. It consists of 5,000 Euro to support the production, a performance during the Festival Prospettiva Danza Teatro 2026 as a preview for the Veneto region, a one-week choreographic residency in Padua and a one-week choreographic residency at Scenario Pubblico in Catania – Centro di Rilevante Interesse Nazionale per la Danza.
Prospettiva Danza Teatro 2025 is realised in collaboration with Spaziodanza Padova, Università degli Studi di Padova, Teatro Stabile del Veneto, Network Anticorpi XL; with the contribution of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo.
