White Room, inspired by Giovanni Segantini’s work Il ritorno dal bosco, wants to deepen the emotional aspects of winter, investigating its transposition in the form of a state of mind. The painter’s painting portrays an expansion of time that, slowing and tending, stages the fatigue and constancy of the human being.
Adriano Bolognino tries to search for that supernatural stage that unites the physical strength needed to drag a sled with the emotional one that we exercise every day in this present. In a snowy, desolate mantle, a flame is lit from nothing. Even winter has its own colors, which in the frost and silence can be even more disruptive and enclosed.
