The dancers of the National Choreographic Centre / Aterballetto tell the story of two valiant warriors – Tancredi, a Christian knight, and Clorinda, a Saracen fighter – who face each other in a fierce duel, enveloped in the darkness of the night. Tancredi, blinded by the heat of battle, does not suspect that beneath his opponent’s armour lies Clorinda, the woman he loves. This project represents the construction of a path of research, collaboration and production, created to represent an Italy whose culture is rooted in its heritage without renouncing its contemporary outlook.
