YoY Performing Arts – Inesorabilmenteunavia:
Our research stems from an interdisciplinary context, where different artistic languages meet for their complementary aspects. A central part of our artistic practice is to develop research that also focuses and questions joint, holistic compositional and expressive spaces. Music, movement and visual art begin to dialogue with each other, entering one into the language of the other and searching for a common “dialectic” that allows them to travel not on parallel tracks, but along a single path.
INESORABILMENTEUNAVIA is a kind of exhortation to search for new balances. The choreography proposes a path, posing itself as a decisive negation of the explosive and muscular expression of energy, which is often labile and transient, never representing true strength but only disequilibrium. In the performance, the repetition of movement becomes almost liturgical, tending to the achievement of a spirituality that draws inspiration from the idea of vital energy typical of Eastern philosophies.
