MUGA \/ Francesco Paolino<\/h2>\n

Regarding MUGA by Francesco Paolino, the jury commended the remarkable precision of this debut choreographic work, which is all the more surprising given the young age of the creator; the rigorous, almost architectural staging, in which synchronisation proves to be one of the most effective elements, underpinned by the quality of the performers; and the fact that a personal sense of urgency gives rise to an exploration of the relationship between fullness and emptiness, identity and the dissolution of the self, developed through a minimalist and coherent style.<\/p>\n

Of Pablo Ezequiel Rizzo’s SEX.EXE, the committee appreciated how the transformation of the three-dimensionality of the body into the two-dimensionality of the video, in the iconographic reference to bas-reliefs and sculptures of antiquity, introduces a displacement of vision that distorts the perception of identity and hints at an interesting development of the play. The excerpt in fieri presented also demonstrates for the jury singular ability to synthesize movement, dramaturgy, digital technologies and original sound.<\/p>\n

Alessio Damiani’s Burdens of Being <\/strong>receives the Audience Award and an invitation from the commission to the Festival de danse in Cannes 2025<\/strong>, for an evening dedicated to the International Perspective Dance Theater Award.<\/p>\n
